- Description
- Project is for barracks rehabilitation at USCG Base Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina, (Charleston County). Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace dual service (chilled and hot water) piping and insulation; replace gas-fired boiler and shell and tube heat exchanger; replace potable hot water supply and recirculation piping; replace water circulating pumps; replace fan-coil units. Piping insulation and building crawl space are contaminated with asbestos-containing materials (ACM). Abatement is required. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 233220. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipts of $28.5 million. Estimated construction price range is $250,000 and $500,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Performance period is 90 calendar days. Hard copies with not be available. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
