This is a market survey to locate a source for the production, testing a nd delivery of C/VAM, NSN 6695-01-412-4380 for use with the AN/PVS-6, MINI EYESAFE LASER INFRARED OBSERVATION SET (MELIOS).The C/VAM module is a self-contained environmentally sealed module of MELIOS, AN/PVS-6. It utilizes the existing threaded holes of th e Optics module, and electrically connected to the battery, charge button, fire button, and azimuth display of the AN/PVS-6 through a connector mounted in the optics module top cover. The C/VAM modules provides azimuth readings over the range of 0 to 6395 mils and vertical angle measurement reading from +530 to - 530 mils. The C/VAM module measures the horizontal component of eearth's magnetic field (azimuth) with respect to magnetic north and the axis of the AN/PVS-6, adjusts the heading for declination, and provides this information to the AN/PVS-6. The C/VAM module shall display the azimuth and vertical angle measurement readings on the azimuth display of the optics module in alternating fashion, switching display modes automatically every 2.5 seconds. The C/VAM assembly (A3187249 & A3162310 consist of the C/VAM module, a dust protective gasket and mounting hardware.CECOM prefers an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract may be awarded NLT 01-31-2003.
