Description

NA U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to issue a contract for the furnishing of all labor, plant, materials, and supervision for the Air Handler replacement/upgrade for Building 1671, Fort Detrick, Maryland. The upgrades shall include bu t is not limited to the following. Interior and exterior demolition and new work, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, duct work, wall and ceiling restoration, asbestos removal and miscellaneous. Solicitation number DAMD17-02-B-0005 will be avail able on or about August 13, 2002. All responsible sources may submit a hard copy bid that will be considered. The established price range of this construction project is $500,000 and $1,000.000. The SIC Code for this procurement action is 1711 and the s ize standard is $12.0 million in average annual receipt. Unrestricted. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed price type contract. AVAILABILITY AND CHARGE: Plans and specifications will be issued on a CD-ROM DISK, will be free of charge, and should n ot be returned. Number of Compact Disks is limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a hard copy format. Limit of 40 CD-ROM disks (1 per firm) containing the solicitation, specifications and/or drawings are available on a first come, first serve basis. Amendments only will be made through either a 3.5 Diskette, CD-ROM Disk, or by printed hard copy. The CD-ROM Disk contains a simple window viewing application that will have to be installed to view the solicitation, dr awings and or specifications. All necessary files are included on the CD-ROM. All applications contained on the CD-ROM Disk can be run from the CD-ROM Disk. The recommended minimum hardware requirements are: 1. a Pentium II computer; 2. 64 M RAM; 3. CD- ROM drive; and 4. a windows driven printer. The recommended minimum software requirement is Windows 98, or Windows NT or later. Standard Form 1442, Proposal Documents, Bid Bonds, and other documentation required for bid submittal shall be in hard copy (p aper) medium. Electronic medium for bid submittal IS NOT PERMITTED. NO PHONE REQUESTS FOR CD-ROM IFB WILL BE ACCEPTED. Requests for copies of the solicitation (CD-ROM format) must be in writing. You may fax your request to Fax number (301) 619-3002 no later than 10 days from date of publication of this notice.
