Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only quotation, and therefore, a formal written document will not be issued. The quotation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. The Television-Audio support Activity intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Kencast Inc., Stamford, Connecticut for the purchase of equipment, installation, and training for two customer sites. The items are as follows: Customer site 1: Item 1) two (2) ea p/n: 6.3 PCI Host/Hub; Software Upgrade, FAZZT Broadcast Management System (Host-Hub Setup); from FAZZT 4.X RS-422 ISA to FAZZT 6.3 RS-422 PCI-TX version, Item 2) six (6) ea p/n: FZT/HSPCI-TX High-speed Transmitter Card; 6.3 RS-422; PCI TX; includes software for: operating as an NT service; managing multiple multicast channels of files and live streams, including: Dynamic channel creation/take-down; queuing mechanism to support priority and scheduling; specifying reliability and compression parameters: authorizing receive sites including defining receiver groups; directory mirroring, user option for incorporating encryption; built-in Web server for managing system remotely; integrating FAZZT operations with other systems by means of database interface; controlling server and client site operations trough FAZZT scripts; managing digital objects including streams, files, and packages; transmission communications and network monitoring; software developer?s kit and online administrator?s guide (Windows NT/2000/XP version); Item 3) one hundred fifty four (154) ea p/n: 6.3 ISA Standard; Standard Client Setup Software; FAZZT 6.3 ISA/CPI receive management system; for: Tuning across multiple channels of incoming transmissions; receiving, reconstructing, validating, decompressing, unpackaging, and confirming receipt of incoming transmissions; Log management; initiating viewing, playback and other applications; backhaul communication with Host-Hub where applicable, and operating as an NT service where applicable; RS-422 input from IRD; (Windows NT/2000/XP/95/98/ME version); for receive sites number 233090-233243, Item 4) one hundred (100) ea p/n: ISA/PCI INDIVIDUAL ; Individual Software; for each receive site; separate software media and related materials for receive client, Item 5) one (1) ea On-site installation, testing, and training; total days: 2 days, plus travel expenses: install the Host Hub setup for the customer on equipment provided the customer; train customer staff, not to exceed 15 people, in basic operations, including preparing scripts, interfacing with customer?s database. Training will be performed at the customer?s site, March Air Reserve Base, California. Customer site 2: Item 1) one (1) ea p/n: AFRTS Script; Custom Script; for 2 Host Hubs with 3 TX cards each; to manage duplicate output and redundancy at the Host Hubs, Item 2) p/n: 6.3 PCI Host/Hub; Software Upgrade, FAZZT Broadcast Management System (Host-Hub Setup); from FAZZT 4.X RS-422 ISA to FAZZT 6.3 RS-422 PCI-TX version, Item 3) four (4) ea p/n: FZT/HSPCI-TX (Server); High Speed Transmitter Card; 6.3 RS422; PCI TX; includes software for: operating as an NT service; managing multiple channels of files and live streams, including: Dynamic Channel Creation/Take Down; queuing mechanism to support priority and scheduling; specifying reliability and compression parameter; authorizing receive sites including defining receiver groups; directory mirroring, user option for incorporating encryption; built-in Web server for managing system remotely; integrating FAZZT operations with other systems by means of database interface; controlling server and client site operations through FAZZT scripts; managing digital objects including streams, files, and packages; managing the FAZZT distribution center for content on demand; transmission communications and network monitoring including support of enterprise client network, and software development kit and online administrator?s guide; RS-422 output (Windows NT/2000/XP version), Item 4) one hundred seventy eight (178) ea p/n: 6.3 ISA Standard; FAZZT Standard Client Software; (Remote Station); for tuning across multiple channels of incoming transmissions; receiving, reconstructing, validating, decompressing, unpackaging, and confirming receipt of incoming transmissions; Log Management, initiating viewing, playback and other applications; backhaul communications with Host-Hub where applicable, and operating as an NT service where applicable; RS-422 input from IRD (Windows NT/200/95/98/ME version). For receive sites number 240001-240178, Item 5) twenty (20) ea p/n: 6.3 IS/PCI/INDIVIDUAL; Individual Software; for each receive site; separate software media and related materials for each receive client; receive site ID numbers: 240001-240178, Item 6) four (4) ea p/n: 6.3 PUBLISHER; FAZZT Standard Publisher Software; Kencast Backhaul; for transfer of digital files VIA TCP/IP from Publisher?s PC to Host-Hub PC; FAZZT scripting tools to automate file preparation, packaging, scheduling, and other pre- and post processing. (Windows NT/2000/95/98/ME/XP version), Item 7) one (1) ea p/n: MAINTENANCE; Annual maintenance on licenses; full technical support and free upgrade to new software releases of licensed products for the 12-month term of the contract, and Item 8) one (1) ea On site installation, testing, and training; total days: 1 day, plus travel expenses; installation of the Host Hub set up on equipment provided by the customer; train customer staff (not more than 15 people) in basic operations, including preparing script, interfacing with customer?s database. The equipment shall be delivered FOB destination to the Television-Audio Support Activity, McClellan, California 95652 not later than 60 days after receipt of order.
