- COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEM (S) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. IMPORTANT NOTICE: FAR 52-232-33 (Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer --Central Contractor Registration (May 1999) and DFARS 252.204-7004 (Required Central Contractor Registration - Nov 2001) require registration in the CCR database. CONTRACTORS MAY REGISTER ON-LINE AT HTTP://WWW.CCR2000.COM/. IT'S MANDATORY TO OBTAIN A DUNS NUMBER PRIOR TO REGISTERING. CALL DUN & BRADSTREET (1-800-333-0505) TO OBTAIN. AWARD CANNOT BE MADE UNLESS REGISTERED. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. F08650-02-T-0189 is issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thru Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08 and thru Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement DCN 20020531. This procurement is 100% set aside for all responsible small businesses. The NAICS Code and business size standard is 42173/5075. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). using full and open competition. 45 CONS, Patrick AFB, FL, has a requirement for one (1) each Water-Cooler Rotary Liquid Chiller, Series R, Model RTWA. The purpose of this synopsis/solicitation is to provide a 125 ton water-cooled helical rotary chiller. Description: Dual independent refrigerant circuits, Units ship ready to install, need only electrical and water connections. All units have single evaporator and condenser connections. 460/3/60hz 125 nominal tons with a 128.86 ton capacity. Part Number RTWA 125, Manufacturer: Trane. Unit of issue: 1 ea. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items Alt I and III (Oct 2000) is hereby included by reference. FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (May 2002) shall be completed and submitted with the proposal. FAR clauses 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items (Feb 2002). FAR clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (May 2002) hereby applies to this acquisition. In accordance with FAR clause 52.212-5, the following clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.219-6 Total Small Business Set Aside; 52.222-21 Prohibition of Segregated Facilities 52.222-26; Equal Opportunity, 52.222-35; Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-19; Child Labor- Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies (Dec 2001); 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer/Central Contractor Registration (May 1999). The following DFARS clauses are incorporated by reference: 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Nov 1995); 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (May 2002). In accordance with 252.212-7001, the following clauses are incorporated by reference: 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program; 252.225-7012 Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities. For Warranty purposes, please furnish the following information for each line item under warranty: The warranty extends for a period of ____days or ____years from () date of shipment, () date of receipt or () date of installation. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government.
