Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The reference number is F73SCH216802 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 421860. (v) This requirement consists of one line item. (vi) Line Item 0001: Visual Assault-Zone Marking Panel System (VAMP), 1 each. Specifications: The VAMP System is designed for marking dirt or asphalt runways. It is a treated nylon fabric panel suspended between two aluminum poles. The poles are attached to a bungee system that allows the panel to withstand high winds (prop/jet blast) and return to its upright position. Each single integrated VAMP system comes with its own stakes, tie downs and poles. The metal stakes are easy to pound into the ground using a hammer or mallet. The panels are available in orange (both sides), cerise (both sides) or orange/cerise. One complete panel system weighs about four pounds. The VAMP is 72 inches long and 17 inches high. The system rolls up for easy carrying and storage. Mfr: TACTEC, Inc. FOB shall be destination, and shipping should be included in the unit price. The contractor certifies that it can meet the delivery date by submitting a quotation. (xi) The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The contractor shall return a completed copy of this provision with its quotation. A copy of the provision may be attained from http:// farsite.hill.af.mil. (xii) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Paragraph (o) is changed to read: The contractor shall provide all standard commercial warranties to the government (xiii) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses identified at paragraph b of FAR 52.212-5 are considered checked and are applicable to this acquisition: (11 - 16), (18), (21), (24). (xiv) Award can only be made to contractors registered in the Central Contractor Registration web page, http://www.ccr2000.com. (xv) The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) is not applicable to this acquisition. (xvi) Commerce Business Daily numbered note 1 applies to this acquisition.
