- The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a Non-Personal services contract for Radiology Services by a licensed Radiologist to provide services to the inmate population at the Metropolitan Detention Center, located at 535 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles, California 90012. All services provided shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the contractor's field of expertise, including, but not limited to, interpretation of x-rays; providing written and/or dictated reports within 72 Hours after reading of the x-rays; and will include recommendations for further diagnotic testing and/or responsibility for patients referred. The offeror must have the appropriate educational qualification, experience, and licensure commensurate with the job responsibilities. The Radiologist shall possess valid, current license/registration to practice within the jurisdiction where the service will be provided. Specific services shall be conveniently available to meet the needs of patients as determined by the medical staff, e.g., emergency x-ray reading. In this instance, the x-ray will be delivered to the Radiologist's office for a separate fee. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. Services will be required during the normal work week with a maximum of 2 sessions per week (1 Session = One Hour), between the hours of 10:00AM and 2:00PM every week (excluding Federal holidays). All offerors are advised that their quotation shall be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation factors as cited in the Request for Quotation. The anticipated period of this contract performance will be: the base year from Date of Award, through 09/30/2003. Option Period One: 10/01/03 to 09/30/04; Option Period Two: 10/01/04 to 09/30/05; Option Period Three: 10/01/05 to 09/30/06; Option Period Four: 10/01/06 to 09/30/07. This is an unrestrictive procurement. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Requirements type contract. Solicitation will be available O/A 07/30/2002, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site: www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances and only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
