- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure several parts kits in support of the 225? WLB class Coast Guard vessels. It is the Government?s belief that only Allied Systems, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, or their authorized distributors, has the capabilities to manufacture and supply these parts kits. The parts kit include: (1) NSN 5330-01-497-8087, Seal Replacement Parts Kit, Allied Systems P/N 51074, quantity 3 kits; (2) NSN 3950-01-497-8097, Hoist Parts Kit, Allied Systems P/N 51075, quantity 4 kits; (3) NDN 3950-01-497-8105, Hoist Parts Kit, Allied Systems P/N 51076, quantity 4 kits; (4) NSN 5330-01-497-8142, Seal Replacement Parts Kits, Allied Systems P/N 51078, quantity 3 kits; and (5) NSN 3950-01-497-8530, Hoist Parts Kit, Allied Systems P/N 51077, quantity 4 kits. NO EQUAL OR ALTERNATE PART NUMBERS SHALL BE ACCEPTED. Allied Systems maintains all proprietary rights to the manufacturing and engineering data required to manufacture all parts contained in these kits. The Government?s requests to release the drawing to allow for a competitive acquisition have been refused. It is the Government?s intention to solicit and award a purchase order to Allied Systems and/or their authorized distributors, however interested sources that possess the capabilities of obtaining the required technical, engineering and manufacturing data from Allied Systems, and possess the capabilities of manufacturing these parts kits can submit information regarding their capabilities. This information must include (1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered part(s) (i.e., salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics), or (2) data that the offered part(s) have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the OEM. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN TEN (10) WORKING DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS PUBLICATION. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this particular acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this purchase order. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. Award of this requirement shall be made by 6 August 2002. The Request For Quotation (RFQ), Number DTCG40-02-Q-50150, shall be available for download by accessing FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov, on or about 26 July 2002. Hard copies of the solicitation package shall not be issued from this office. The due date for submission of quotations shall be no later than 5 August 2002. See Numbered Notes 22 and 26. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
