- THIS NOTICE IS BEING MODIFIED TO CORRECT THE CLASSIFICATION CODE FROM 28 TO 47-Flange Pipe.SOLICITATION F34601-02-R-54362,OC-ALC/LPDBB CONTRACTING PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DRIVE 73145-3015FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTACT REGINA PATTON/LPDBB/(405)734-8775 ITEM:0001 NSN 4730-01-361-6713, PN 4061559, QTY 264ea, SIZE/DIMENSION: 2.570"L x 1.520"H x .825"D, FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Turbofan F-15/16 F100/220 engine, Connects the two PS2 pressure tubes through a change in angle through the inlet case to the nose cone. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The requirements of FAR 9.202(A) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date will be 31 Jan 2002. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Pratt & Whitney (52261) East Hartford CT.and Lewis Machine(3V183)West Hartford CT. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note:This is a critical part in the F-100 series turbine engine.Poor quality parts will have an adverse affect on mission capabilityand system saftey. For this reason, FIRST ARTICLE IS REQUIRED to insure that first time manufacturers or manufacturers that have not produced the Item in three years can meet the qualification requirements. NOTE:While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation , the final contrat award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern.
