Description
NA DESC: SEALED BID FIRM FIXED PRICED REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT WITH A BASE AND FOUR OPTION YEARS WITH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION FOR INSTRUMENTATION PROGRAM AT KENTUCKY DAM, LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY. Work shall consist of installation, maintenance, and monitor ing of an instrumentation system for an existing lock wall and two cofferdams during the construction of a new navigation lock at Kentucky Dam in Livingston County, Kentucky. The types of automatic instruments include inclinometers with multiple sensors pe r hole, tiltmeters, piezometers, and load cells on post-tensioned tendons. The contract includes the data collection system necessary to collect, process, and report on the readings from the instruments. Manually read instruments include alignment pins, re lative block movement devices (that are read using micrometers), and sawcuts. The instruments will be installed in six phases as construction of the new lock progresses. The range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation is full and ope n competition under NAICS code 541990, ?All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services.? Bid evaluation will include the base and all option years. Solicitation number has been changed from DACW62-02-R-0005 to DACW62-02-B-0008. This solicitatio n is being advertised electronically only and at no cost from the Nashville Corps of Engineers. Nashville Corps of Engineers solicitation web site may be found at http://www.orn.usace.army.mil/contracting. The drawings will be available for download from t he Nashville Corps of Engineers website or a CD-ROM can be provided by written request to the contract specialist. No printed sets of specifications and drawings will be furnished. There will be no charge for the CD-ROM. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued by the middle of August 2002. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the site. All interested firms must be registered in the Central Contract Register. All pertinent information will be posted on the web site. It will be the responsibility of ea ch interested firm to check for amendments to the solicitation on the web site. Estimated time for bid opening is in September 2002.
