Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) request quotations for the following listed items, Item 001 Saddle Stitcher, includes Delivery and Installation, Quantity 1 each. Item 002, On-site Training of Operators, Quantity 6 each. Item 003 Training of Maintenance Employees, Quantity 6 each, Item 004 Spare Parts, Initial Supply for 45 days, 1 Lot. The Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. The request for Quotation (RFQ) Number, for this requirement is RFQ56-00247. Delivery Terms are FOB Destination. Delivery shall be made to the BEP loading dock at D Street, between 13th and 14th Streets SW, Washington, DC 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be a firm fixed price order. The basis for award shall be made based on the following factors, listed in descending order of importance: (1) technical attributes of the equipment, (2) delivery schedule, (3) past performance, and (4) the overall pricing. A copy of the specifications dated March 4, 2002, can be downloaded from this website (www.eps.gov). All interested contractors are requested to submit a written quotation that will be considered by the agency. Quotations must be made on a SF1449, which can be downloaded at www.eps.gov, or on Company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number the proposed unit prices and the proposed extended prices. In order for the Government to perform an effective evaluation, the Contractor shall also provide two copies of brochures, technical literature, etc., to explain the detailed specifications of the equipment offered, any prompt payment discount terms, and references to include name, phone number, and address to whom the offered equipment has been sold. Additional items which must be provided include the complete company price, the point of contact, full address, phone and fax number, Federal tax identification number, Dun and Bradstreet number, and the business size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business, Woman owned business, Veteran owned business, etc.). Quotations are due no later than 12 Noon, August 6, 2002. Only written, faxed, or e-mail responses will be honored.
