THIS MODIFICATION IS ISSUED TO DELETE THE PROVISION FOR REQUESTING COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION FROM THE CONTRACTING OFFICER. NO PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE. IT ADDS THE REQUIREMENT THAT COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION MUST BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE FEDERAL PROCUREMENT WEBSITE AT http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Social Security Administration, Region IX, Office of Hearings and Appeals, has a requirement to provide case file assembly services for fifteen (15) hearing offices. The offices are located in Downey, CA, Fresno, CA, Honolulu, HI, Long Beach, CA, Los Angeles, CA (2 offices); Orange, CA, Pasadena, CA, Sacramento, CA, San Bernardino, CA, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, Stockton, CA, and Tucson, AZ. Services include a thorough review of each case file, selecting proposed exhibits, marking and numbering exhibits and preparing exhibit lists. Work is to be performed off-site at contractor?s location. The government will provide a limited orientation/training session on the preparation of the case file. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Multiple awards are expected as a result of this solicitation. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Only offerors from individuals or business concerns that qualify as a small business will be accepted. Copies of the solicitation SSA-RFQ9-02-0071 will be available on or about August 1, 2002. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
