- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to replace 3 multi-zone air handling units on the second floor of building 8640, Eglin AFB, FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 235110. This acquisition is unrestricted. This is a Performance Price Tradeoff acquisition and award will be based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes furnishing all supervision, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, manufactured articles, all transportation services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, to replace 3 multi-zone air handling units. In general, the work will consist of replacing 3 multi-zone air-handling units and installing variable frequency drives and motors on the air handling units and the return air fans. The 38 existing zones will have duct heaters installed along with miscellaneous duct changes. The controls will be upgraded to handle the air handling units and duct heaters. The equipment cooling system will be upgraded to allow control of the airflow to the equipment. The air-handling units will have new isolation valves installed. The contractor will be required to provide temporary air conditioning and security escorts during the work. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. No alternative bid items exist for this project. Performance period is 210 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 30 Apr 02. The estimated proposal due date is 30 May 02. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUN number.
