- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration intends to increase the ceiling level of effort of available contract hours in the FAA Engineering and Technical Services to the Aviation Safety Risk Analysis Program (ASRAP) support contract, from mid August 2002 through approximately mid May 2003. The present contract, DTFA03-98-C-00005, with Hi-Tec Systems, Inc. of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, was a competitive cost plus fixed fee procurement and was awarded late October 1997. The additional level of effort is required to continue performance to prevent a break in service under the current ASRAP requirement while competitive requirement(s) are being developed. Presently, 91,000 hours are included in the contract, with an estimated cost of $5,193,574.00, over five years, through October 28, 2002. At the present burn rate, the contract level of effort will have reached approximately 90,900 hours at a total ceiling of $5,300,925.65, by approximately August 15, 2002, with no increase to the basic fee awarded. The FAA plans to add an additional cost ceiling of $641,500.00, at this time, and to fund up to approximately 12,800 additional labor hours in order to bridge current ASRAP requirements through mid May 2003, or until new definitive contract(s) is in place.
