- Description
- The USCG MLCP in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for the Drydock and Repair of the USCGC GALVESTON ISLAND (WPB 1349), which is geographically restricted to the Territory of Guam. Performance is expected to commence on 8 January 2003 and complete no later than 25 March 2003. The repair anticipated involves the following work items: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart; Hurricane Contingency Plan; Sea Trials; Grey Water Tank Repairs; Hull And Structural Plating (Gen) Repair; Hull Plating, Ultrasonic Measurement Of Hull Plating Thickness; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Inspect; Spray Rail And Stern Flap Installation; Steering Compartment Frame Repairs; Voids (Non-Accessible) Preserve, Internal; Appendages (Underwater) Preserve, Internal; Potable Water Tank Structural Reinforcements; Tanks (Hydraulic Oil Storage & Service) Clean And Inspect; Tanks (Dirty & Waste Oil) Clean And Inspect; Voids (Accessible) Clean And Inspect; Weather Deck Water Tight Door Replacement; Caterpillar Main Diesel Engine Removal, Reinstallation And Alignment; Propulsion Shaft Seal System Replacement; Propulsion Shaft Bearing Clearances Check; Multi-Wire Retaining Strap Renewal; Ship Service Generator Cleaning And Load Test; Steering Controller Replacement; Fathometer Transducers General Maintenance; Tachometers (Critical) Calibration; Aft Berthing Ventilation; Sea Strainer (All Sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<= 2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (> 2.5 Inches) Overhaul; Rudders Inspect & Repair; Fin Stabilizers (General) Maintenance; Hawse Pipe & Doubler Plate Renewal; Single Point Davit Level 2 Inspection And Service; Decks (Slip Resistant Sheet) Preserve; Bilge Preservation; Forepeak Preservation; Tanks (Sewage) Preserve; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve, Partial; Rudders (Exterior) Preserve; Hull Plating, Freeboard Preserve, Partial; Capac Remote Alarm Installation; Cathodic Protection/Capac System Inspect/Service; Deck Coverings (Interior Wet) Renew/Replace; Temporary Services, Drydock Provide; Drydocking/Hauling; Appendages (Underwater) Air Test; Voids (Underwater) Air Test; Propulsion Shaft Strut Bolt Renewal.
