- Description
- VISN 21 is soliciting proposals for replacement PACSs for the following five Medical Centers: Central California HCS, Northern California HCS, Palo Alto HCS, San Francisco VAMC, and Sierra Nevada HCS. The system will be configured to accommodate all modalities and study volumes listed in the appendices with appropriate scalability for future growth. The procurement action includes an archive/image distribution system for primary diagnosis in Radiology along with an enterprise-wide system for referring physicians. An off-site disaster recovery service will be included to ensure the integrity of patient data in case of catastrophic failure at any site. The quotation will include all hardware, software, installation and ongoing full maintenance support of the complete system with the exception that VA will provide hardware and hardware support for client review stations. The vendor will provide a site license for display client and enterprise software to allow for future expandability. An interface to the VistA Radiology application for HL7 messaging related to worklist and reports is also required. The enterprise system will be linked to CPRS. A speech recognition system interfaced to the Radiology display workstation and integrated with VistA is requested as an optional line item. This procurement action is for complete fully supported operational lease model (ASP) to include all hardware, software and support needed for a comprehensive VISN PACS solution or a capital purchase proposal of hardware and software with ongoing full service maintenance.
