Description
NA This procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. The contract requires all necessary supervision, labor, materials and equipment to construct/repair/replace major portions of the Fort Campbell Electrical Transmission/Distribution system. Curr ently, Fort Campbell is fed with one main 69 kV delivery point and seven 15 MVA distribution substations. Typical work packages include but are not limited to the replacement of #6 copper primary conductors, re-conductoring and extension of 12 kV overhead distribution, rebuilding in-place of aerial distribution, conversion of aerial primary to URD primary in residential developments, underground cable replacement, completion of transmission loops, system coordination and protection, and equipment/pole repl acement. In some locations underground boring is required so as not to disturb pavement. Work also includes the replacement, including final design, of one 15 MVA distribution substation in accordance with specified parameters. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Contract duration is estimated at 912 days. This will be a sealed bid procurement. The project is available on compact disk. Project specification files are Portable Document Format files and can ve viewed, navigat ed, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are 486 based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive. This project is open to small and large businessess and will have a 10% price evaluation preference for certified HubZone contractors. Solicitation is to be issued on or about August 12, 2002. Bid opening will be on or about September 12, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. (1500) local time. The NAICS for this project is 234920 ($28.5 million). This announcement serves as the advance notice.
