Description

The Project consists of water plant demolition and site cleanup at the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Marion, Illinois. Work includes the removal and disposal of identified asbestos by a licensed abatement contractor, demolition of a concrete water treatment building and associated structures including storage buildings, pumping stations, accelerator tanks, concrete headwall structures, manholes and valve boxes, removal of pavement, curbing, and general debris, filing of earthen ponds, and landscaping the site. This procurement is issued unrestricted with regards to business size under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside for competition restricted to small business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 235940, Wrecking and Demolition Contractors, with a size standard of $12.0M. The solicitation package will be available free of charge approximately August 19, 2002, with bid opening scheduled for September 18, 2002.
