Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about August 13, 2002. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code is 235410. The work under this contract is to repair & repoint steps at General Grant National Memorial on the North and Southwest sides. On the North side there are 13 Steps, 13 inches in width, and approximately 32 feet in length. On the Southwest side there are 17 steps, 13 inches wide and approximately 52 feet wide. Remove the old mortar and grout and install new mortar and grout and sealant to provide a barrier against air, water, moisture and dirt. Sealant is to be installed only in favorable weather conditions as defined in ASTM C962-86. Silicone, as define in American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM) Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, use M,A or O as applicable. An organized site visit will be held at 10:00 on Tuesday, August 20, 2002. Attendees will meet on the steps on the North side of General Grant National Memorial on 122nd Street and Riverside Drive, New York, NY.
