Description: --thinning overstocked stands to improve forest health and reduce the potential of catastrophic wildfires; -Excessive trees will be removed from the site or a combination of slash treatment and mastication on site, wildlife trees or snags will be created or retained, down woody material will be selected and left in place. Handheld equipment will be used to mechanically fell, buck, and limb trees. There may be other methods proposed by the offeror. A site visit is scheduled for August 13 9:00 AM --meet at the Boulder District Office.
