Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) with National Instruments, 6504 Bridge Point Parkway, Austin, TX 78730-5039 to provide LabVIEW Software subscription for one year, including program version updates and enhanced user support from National Instruments. Also included in the agreement, 20 legacy LabVIEW users with previous version of LabVIEW will be upgraded to the current software version. The National Instruments LabVIEW is a software program and development environment currently used by over 80 NIST researchers to assist in data acquisition and control, data analysis and data presentation that serves the missions of their laboratory and the agency. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement.
