NA This FedBizOps announcement is a notice that TRICARE Regions 6, 7, & 8 which includes all military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF?s) in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Idaho, Oklahoma, New Mexico, North Dak ota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming are in the standardization process for the product lines of disposable topical antiseptic prep pads/swabsticks and disposable specialty pads/swabsticks to include, but not limited to, fingerna il polish removal pads, and oral hygiene swabsticks. The intent of the standardization program is to establish regionally preferred sources for hospital supply items to standardize purchasing of products for these MTF?s. Clinical Product Team (CPT) will evaluate this product line. Teams are composed of healthcare personnel who have expertise and knowledge of the products. They will review and technically evaluate any samples submitted. TRICARE Regions 6, 7 and 8 deems the CPT members to be medical expe rts. Therefore, they are qualified to determine which products are acceptable. Companies interested in having their items evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardization process should carefully review the item requirements. They are as follows: 1.) Latex free products are available, 2.) Swabsticks are four inches in length, 3.) Alcohol prep pads are 70% isopropyl alcohol, available in sterile and non-sterile packages, and are available in various sizes, 4.) Alcohol swabsticks are impregnate d with 70% alcohol and come three to a pack, 5.) Povidone-Iodine (PVP) prep pads come in 7.5% and 10% solution strength, and are available in sterile and/or non-sterile packages, 6.) PVP Swabsticks come in 7.5% and 10% solution strength, are packaged in single and triple configurations, 7.) Nail Polish removal pads are available in an acetone-free formula, 8.) Oral hygiene swabsticks are available in lemon glycerin and are packaged in single and triple configurations, 09.) The supplier has an extended product line, 10.) The supplier can provide in-service training as necessary, 11.) The supplier can provide and assist in a plan of conversion as needed. This is not a Request for Proposal; the purpose of the sources sought notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the US Government requirements. Suppliers must be Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) holders and will be required to provide clinical samples at no cost to the government. If your company currently holds a DAPA for this Medic al/Surgical Product Line, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process for these regions by contacting the Defense Support Center-Philadelphia (DSCP). Please contact the DAPA contracting officer, Mr. Lou Jennings at (215) 737-2125 for assistance. Your company can be considered for standardization once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. Distr ibution of this product will be accomplished through the regional prime vendor (Allegiance) consistent with the DAPA. After you have notified the Tri-Service Regional Business Office (TRBO) that your company wishes to participate, or that your DAPA applic ation is pending with DSCP, your company will be notified prior to the start of the standardization process for this product line. If the CPT recommends a company, the TRBO may request sales data. This information will be treated as proprietary and not r eleasable.
