Description

NA Y199--The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to issue a firm-fixed-price contract for a contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools, and supplies necessary to install a Pre-Engineered Metal Building(approx imately 16,500 square foot) to include the furnishing of all the contents of portable modular housing and support units for installation into the pre-fab building for a complete turn-key facility that will operate as an Animal Biosafety Level 3 (ABSL 3) op eration at Fort Detrick, Maryland. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: excavation work; construction of new footings; erection shoring, needling and bracing; cast-in-place concrete; set cast iron waste lines; translucent roof panels; interi or mounted rolling service door with motor; electrical power service; lighting fixtures; building shall consist of minimum 26 gage sheet steel covering; continuous ridge ventilators; insulation; HVAC work; plumbing; electrical and all equimpent/contents to deliver completed portable modular animal housing units. The anticipated period of performance is established as 365 days from the date of notice to proceed. Reference Invitation for Bid No. DAMD17-02-B-0007 available on or about 13 Aug 2002 and opening on or about 13 Sep 2002. The NAICS code is 233320 for this requirement with the size standard of $27.5M in average annual receipts. The estimated price range is between $500,000,000 and $10 ,000,000.
