Description

The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida, is seeking a contract Patient Care Specialist. Offerors must be certified as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant, and/or be certified in a nursing or medical patient care program equal to or greater than those stated above. A minimum of six months medically related experience is required. The resulting contract will be for a base period not to exceed twelve months, with two one-year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of two hour sessions per year is estimated at 753, depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around August 1, 2002, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site hppt:/fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the government. Future information about this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621999. All qualified sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
