Description
NA THIS PROJECT IS TO CONSTRUCT AN 758 SM(8160SF) ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE SHOP(OMS)/ AREA MAINTENANCE SUPPORT ACTIVITY(AMSA)WITH STORAGE. THIS PROJECT WILL PROVIDE A THREE BAY MAINTENANCE FACILITY WITH ADMINISTRATIVE AREAS, PARTS STORAGE, TOOL STORAGE, BREAK AREA, WEAPONS VAULT, LOCKER ROOMS, MECHANICAL SYSTEMS, HVAC SYSTEMS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND SECURITY SYSTEM AND AN OVERHEAD CRANE. THE ALTERATION TO THE EXISTING PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING FOR UNIT/INDIVIDUAL SUPPLY OPERATION WILL PROVIDE THE NEEDED STORAGE FOR SOLDIERS TO STORE INDIVIDUAL AND MISSION EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR TRAINING AND MOBILIZATION. SUPPORTING FACILITIES WILL INCLUDE A LARGE MEP(MILITARY EQUIPMENT PARKING LOT, A SMALL POV(PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES) PARKING LOT, ANTI-TERRORISM/FORCE PROTECTION, AND VARIOUS OTHER SITE IMPROVEMENTS, FENCING, ROADWAYS AND UTILITIES. THE PROPOSED OMS/AMSA FACILITY WILL BE MASONRY AND STEEL FRAME STRUCTURE WITH AN INSULATED METAL WALL EXTERIOR PANEL. THE ROOF WILL BE STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF. The option items in this solicitation are as follows: 1) Install electrical wiring and light fixtures in caging of existing storage building, 2) Bituminous paving of Privately Owned Vehicle (PO) parking, 3) Concrete paving of Mi litary Equipment Parking (MEP) where tracked vehicles will be located, 4) Bituminous paving of Military Equipment Parking (MEP parking where all wheeled vehicles will be stored, and 5) Install electric roll-up overhead doors at each end of the OMS/AMSA sho p. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 15 August 2002 and Bid Opening Date is 17 September 2002 at 3:00 PM Louisville Local Time.
