The government intends to conduct this acquisition as a commercial service in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 14. This acquis ition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns, see FedBizOpps Note 1. The contractor shall provide personnel, management, and any other items and services not government-furnished necessary to provide alarm monitoring services for the Provost Marsha l's Office (PMO), Fort Hood. This requirement is for a 12-month base period from 01 October 2002 through 30 September 2003 and four 12-month option periods. The tentative issue date for Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number DAKF48-02-B-0004 is 14 August 2002 a nd the anticipated date for receipt of bids is 16 September 2002. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 561621, Security System Services. The Small Business Size Standard is $10.5M per year. The IFB w ill be available for download at http://ccmd.hood.army.mil and on the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. No paper copies of the IFB will be mailed. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from the Internet and updating their files. Telephone requests will not be honored.
