- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service issues Request for Information (RFI) No. TIRNO-02-RFI-LATA-CA seeking sources for available Local Access and Transport Area (LATA) telephone/telecommunications services for its California offices. The following telephone services shall consist of, but are not limited to the following: provide access to the current long distance carrier (IXC) Sprint, Basic Call Services, Transport Services, Connectivity Features; Telecommuting Technology Solutions and Small Business Offices, E-911 Services, and other miscellaneous services to be specified. The source shall support all existing line numbers at each Government location, with the exception of those obtaining local service from GSA, as well as provide features, tools/applications and necessary personnel to fulfill all requirements identified and provide associated pricing. It is anticipated that this future procurement will be a single contract award. This RFI is issued solely for the purpose of seeking offerors who can provide LATA services for the IRS' California locations and will be used to assist the Government in its long range planning efforts relative to future requirements and acquisitions for this type. They should also submit a statement of interest and capabilities, business size and status, and include brochures, descriptive literature and a discussion of their capabilities. Submit responses via e-mail in Microsoft Office format to: larry.d.chewning@irs.gov, Larry D. Chewning, Contracting Officer and a cc: to: kay.p.fridenstine@irs.gov, Kay P. Fridenstine, Contract Specialist. Subsequently, hard copies (minimum of original and three (3)) and electronic format using the MS Word standard software (3.5" diskette or CD-ROM) shall be mailed to the following address: IRS, Procurement, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Suite 500, ATTN: A:P:I:C (Larry Chewning/ Kay Fridenstine), Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Additional or supplemental hardcopy materials such as brochures may also be submitted. All packages submitted electronically or by electronic media shall be free of any computer virus. If a virus is found, the package will not be accepted and will be destroyed. The replacement file shall be provided within two (2) working days after notification of the presence of a virus. The Government does not intend to provide a response to comments or documentation regarding the results of its review. The Government will retain all the information and comments received regarding this RFI. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be protected from release outside the Government. Response to this RFI must arrive in this office no later than 4:00 PM EST on August 15, 2002. This is only a market survey. This is not a notice of solicitation or invitation for bid and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. As a result and in accordance with FAR 15.202(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
