Description

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is requesting quotes to provide a Digital Imaging System for a Transmission Electron Microscope. Quotes must be Brand name or Equal to the following Specifications: A digital imaging system to be supplied and installed on a Philips EM420 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The system will consist of a scientific grade CCD camera of minimum resolution 1024 x 1024 pixels at 14 bits, interfaced to a computer running integrated camera control and image acquisition software. System specifications include attachment of the CCD to a single 35 mm port on the TEM; pneumatic placement of the camera in the electron beam; low blooming within the CCD; multiple scan rates with the ability to refresh the image at greater than 5 frames per second; real-time image processing; automatic background subtraction; automatic spatial image calibration based on magnification; formation of scale bars; ability to add resolution-independent annotations to images.
