Description

The Bureau of Land Management, Northern Field Office, requires installation of five (5) precast concrete vault toilets at the Walker Fork Campground at Mile Post 82 on the Taylor Highway, and the Eagle Campground in Eagle, Alaska. Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to complete the following tasks. WALKER FORK CAMPGROUND: Remove for salvage two (2) existing cedar vault toilet buildings and toilet risers. Dispose of concrete pads and steel vaults associated with these toilets, and backfill the holes, and furnish and install one (1) single vault and one (1) double vault precast concrete vault toilets. EAGLE CAMPGROUND: Remove for salvage one (1) existing cedar vault toilet building and toilet riser. Dispose of concrete pad and steel vault associated with this toilet, and backfill the hole. Remove and dispose of all items associated with two (2) pit toilets and one (1) steel vault toilet, including but not limited to the buildings, concrete pads, and metal vaults. Backfill the holes. Furnish and install three (3) single vault precast concrete vault toilets. Installation shall include transporting toilets to the project sites, site preparation, placing the vault and toilet building, backfilling, and site grading. Due to the lead time for fabricating the precast concrete vault toilets, it is anticipated that installation will take place in Summer 2003. Estimate price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Work is located along the Taylor Highway in Alaska. This requirement is open to both large and small businesses under the Small Business Competitive Demonstraction Program. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY AT THIS SITE. A limited supply of paper copies will be available on a first come first serve basis, one per contractor. There will be no second printing.
