- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation believes that the University of Washington, Applied Physics Laboratory, 3935 University Way N.E., Seattle, WA 98105-6613 is the only firm that has the capability to produce this product. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement for a Dual-Frequency Identification Sonar System that includes operating system software and one days training at the vendor's site. The sonar system is needed to observe and quantify fish movements and responses in turbid water at various Reclamation sites where water quality is poor. The system shall include a submersible transducer and acoustic lens, cables and junction box Specifications: Dimensions: 30.7 cm long by 20.6 cm high by 17.1 cm wide Weight in air: 7.0 kgs Weight in water: 0.6 kgs negative Low Frequency Mode;. Operating Fequency: 1.0 MHz Beamwidth: (two way) 0.4 degrees H by 13 degrees V Number of Beams: 48 Source Level (average): 205 dB re 1 uPa at 1 m Range Settings: Start Range: 0.75 m to 23.25 m in 0.75 m intervals Window Length: 4.5, 9, 18, 36 m Range-bin separation: 8, 17, 35, 70 mm respective to window length High Frequency Mode: Operating Frequency: 1.8 MHz Beamwidth: (two way) 0.3 degrees H by 13 degrees V Number of Beams: 96 Source Level (average): 205 dB re 1 uPa at 1 m Range Settings: Start Range: 0.4 to 11.63 m in 0.4 m increments Window Length: 1.1, 2.2, 4.5, 9 m Range-bin separation: 2.2, 4.4, 9, 18 mm respective to window length Both Modes: Frame rate: 5-20 Frames/s Field of view: 29 degrees Remote focus 1 m to max range Power Consumption: 30 watts (120 VAC, o 14-18 VDC) Depth rating: 152 m Control: Ethernet or RS232 Image Uplink: Ethernet and NTSC Video Cable length 500 m max Concerns having the ability to furnish the following supplies are requested to give written notification, including a telephone number for a "point of contact" to the acquisition office listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of synopsis.
