- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for engineering and technical support that includes hardware and software system engineering, hardware and software system analysis, component specification, and data collection and analysis. The contractor shall support the following task areas: Electronic Countermeasures Techniques; Artificial Intelligence, Command and Control System Development; and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Design and Development. The uniqueness of data availability, the availability of necessary data processing equipment, and sensitive security requirements dictate that all tasks be performed on site at the Naval Research Laboratory. The contractor shall provide, on a level-of-effort basis, approximately 16,080 of scientific, technical, engineering, and support hours for the base award and approximately 16,080 per year for each option, if exercised. A detailed statement of work will be issued with the solicitation. The Government anticipates an award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. Personnel proposed to work on the resultant contract shall have at least a Secret clearance or shall be capable of obtaining at least a Secret clearance prior to contract commencement. Period of Performance will be one (1) year with four (4) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541710 and the number of employees is 500. The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated closing date. The actual closing date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued.
