- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD, requires a firm-fixed price contract for construction services. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and supervision for the installation of a seamless epoxy resin flooring system for six designated areas: G194 (1,136 sq.ft.), G196 (492 sq. ft.), G197 (380 sq.ft.), G198 (523 sq.ft.), G199 (525 sq.ft.) and G193, the common hallway, ((718 sq.ft.), a total measure of approximately 3774 square feet. All areas shall be completed with the associated cove base. The contractor shall remove the existing flooring prior to the installation of the new epoxy resin flooring system. Contractor shall provide and install approximately 3774 square feet of a clear epoxy resin flooring system with broadcast ceramic coated quartz granules with medium skid resistance and a chemical resistant urethane seal coat. Contractor shall provide and install approximately 81 linear feet of epoxy mortar quartz broadcast cove base and approximately 475 linear feet of double broadcast cove base. The cove base shall be 4" high. The approximate estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is small business set-aside procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 235520 with small business size of $12,000,000. 1) TECHNICAL CAPABILITY: Technical capability will be based on background/capability and product literature/technical features. Background: provide background of experienced epoxy-flooring specialist having experience in the application of the type and complexity of epoxy flooring systems in animal research facilities; past experience -show proven record of at least three animal research facilities and points of contacts for those facilities, in which the applicator has installed a similar flooring system. Each offeror is required to submit descriptive literature, or other documentation, manufacturer or brand name and model of the item, and show how the offered product meets or exceeds the requirements as specified in the solicitation. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this solicitation. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Any prospective contractor shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for an award. Registration requires applicants to have a Dunn and Bradstreet (DUNs) number. Registration may take up to three weeks to process.
