Description

NA The US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 from Kokusai Semiconductor Equipment Corporation, 25 Esquire Road, North Billerica, MA 01862-2501 for the upgrade and installation of a Koku sai furnace in accordance with the Statement of Work to be included in the RFP. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency req uirements. The solicitation will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed con tract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests will b e honored.
