- NA Description of work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, requires a Ford F550 or equal Truck Carrier Vehicle with an enclosed Truck-Mounted Direct Push Probe Unit. Truck will be equipped with at least a 7.3 liter powerstoke diesel engine , a 6-speed manual transmission, four-wheel drive, dual rear wheels, 4.88 ratio rear axel, 17,500 lbs. GVWR package, speed control, tilt wheel, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD radio, and a wheelbase of 165 inches. The carrier truck must include a split-shaft hydraulic power conversion package to power the direct push sampling machine. The contractor shall also supply a direct push probe unit mounted on the above specified truck carrier. The direct push probe unit will include percussion drive hammer, probe u nit equipment box, wireless cone penetration test system accessory tool package, 3.25? Diameter Probe Rod System. In addition to the truck carrier vehicle, the following items are required (2) Wireless Cone Penetration Test (CPT) System (3) 1.5 Accessory Tool Package (4) 3.25? Diameter Probe Rod System (5) 3.25? Dual Tube Soil Sampling Package (6) Macro Core Continuous Soil Sampling System (7) Screen Point 16 Groundwater Sampling System (8) Delivery (9) Training and (10) Warranty. This acquisition is set -aside for small business. All responsible businesses may submit a quote, which if timely received, shall be considered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3533 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333132, an d size standard is 500. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about August 16, 2002, on the Internet at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
