Description

The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be available online at www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about August 2, 2002 (this is an estimated date). We reserve the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-Rom if it becomes necessary. This requirement is set aside for small businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562119. The size standard for this NAICS is $10 million in average annual receipts. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price, performance based purchase order for debris disposal services at Hungry Horse Dam, Hungry Horse, Montana. These services require a contractor to collect debris from the Hungry Horse Reservoir from the log boom to the face of the dam (approximately 120 acres of surface water), as well as debris along the adjacent shore line (within the log boom to the face of the dam area) up to the high water mark. All natural debris is to be disposed of at the Flathead National Forest dump site approximately one mile from the top of the dam. All man-made debris shall be disposed of at the Flathead County landfill. The purchase order will be awarded for the base option period with the option to renew for four additional option periods. The period of performance requires one disposal to occur in September 2002 and then two disposals per year for the following four option years. The option year disposals shall occur in May and September of each year. These services will be purchased in accordance with FAR Parts 12, 13, and 15. Any award will be based on the best value to the Government. We will evaluate the quoters technical proposal, price, and price related factors to determine the best value. These factors are subject to change and the quoters will need to review section E of the RFQ when it is issued. See numbered note 1.
