- Description
- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The United States Marine Corps (USMC), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Battlespace Management and Air Defense Systems (BMADS), Radar Program Office is seeking information from industry on their ability to use composite materials to reduce total system weight of a radar system (to include major assemblies and sub-assemblies of associated trailers, shelters, antenna array structures and electronics, etc) while minimizing impact to system performance and maintainability. Sources responding to this request should provide specific information comparing the use of composites with conventional materials in radar construction. Respondents should also address specific comparative factors such as weight, strength, modulus of elasticity, sheer stress, bending conductivity, rigidity, mechanical fastening/joining, environmental durability, thermal and RF conductivity
