- NA Solicitation due date is extended one week, to 13 August 2002. Questions received on the soliciation and government response follow. There are no other changes. The following questions have been asked concerning the solicitation: Q1. What are the sizes of each existing air handling unit (SCFM)? A1. 21600 CFM. Q2. Do we have to remove existing units? If yes, who is responsible for disposal of old units? A2. Yes, as per the Statement of Work paragraph 1.2.2.2. Q3. What tempe rature rise is required for each unit? A3. At an outside temperature of 45? F each unit shall be capable of a temperature rise to 78? F. Q4. What type of heating in the air make-up units is required (gas, steam, hot-water)? A4. Steam. Q5. Does each unit have its own control panel? A5. Yes. Q6. Where are the panels located? A6. Next to the South walk through door just outside each booth. Q7. Do we have to run all the wiring from the roof to the control panels? A7. The contractor shall replace all wiring, control panel switches, and indicator/warning lights that are not in good operating condition. Q8. How high is the roof and what is the construction type of the roof? A8. About 40 feet high, with and extended wall of about eight (8) feet a bove the roof on the North side. The roof is a three (3) ply composite built-up roofing system. Q9. Do we have to provide installation equipment such as crane, forklift etc.? A9. Yes. Q10. Do we have to provide any stacks? A10. No. Q11. Is ther e required air filtration on the inlet of each air-handling unit? If yes, what efficiency and microns? A11. Yes, 25%. Q12. Do we have to provide any structural supports for the units? A12. All needed/required structural supports or stand modifications are to be supplied and installed by the contractor. Also see SOW paragraph 3.3.1. Q13. Do we have to provide interconnection between the booths and air make-up units? A13. Yes. Q14. Are the existing air make-up units down blast and are they outdoor s? A14. Yes, Yes. Q15. Can we have sketch or drawing of the building where the units will be installed? A15. None are available.
