Description

The purpose of this modification is to establish a specific time, date, and location for the Preproposal Conference. The Preproposal Conference will be conducted on Thursday, August 8, 2002, at 9:30 am. Participants will meet at the Pacific Island Support Office, 300 Ala Moana Blvd., Honolulu, Hawaii (on the Island of OAHU). As a reminder, please note that no official site visit will be conducted. Prospective contractors are strongly encouraged to contact the Park Administration Officer, Lucy Whiting, at telephone (808) 567-6802, extension 21, or the Park Superintendent, Tom Workman, at telephone (808) 567-6802, extension 22, and independently arrange for an informal site visit of the Kalaupapa Settlement prior to the Preproposal Conference. Because of limited commercial access to the site, an organized site visit to the Kalaupapa Settlement is not feasible. However, for those unable to visit the site prior to the Preproposal Conference, a slide presentation will be provided at the Preproposal Conference to give prospective contractors an indication of the scope of work. In addition, the design architect and park superintendent will be available to answer questions.
