- Description
- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate with McDonnell-Douglas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boeing Aircraft Company, PO Box 516, St. Louis MO 63166-0516 for engineering services of aircraft/weapon system integration analysis documentation and reporting for integration of the AIM-9X and AIM-120C weapons systems on the F/A-18E/F aircraft in the following areas: a) Carrier Suitability (CVS), Dynamic Stores Release (DSR), and Store Separation for the AIM-9X, and b) Carrier Suitability and Dynamic Stores Release for the AIM-120C. McDonnell Douglas is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for the F/A-18E/F. As such, they are the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, experience, and special tooling required to provide the necessary analysis. The period of performance is expected to be from September 2002 through July 2003. The delivery order will be issued under N00019-G-98-0037. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
