- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, NO written solicitation will be issued. This procurement is restricted to Hewlett Packard or Hewlett Packard authorized distributors. FSC: 5895, NAICS: 334419, Size standard: 500 employees. This document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 2002-06 dated 4 April 2002. The following items and quantities are required: Item 0001 - Twenty-six (26) Hewlett Packard Processor Cards, P/N A4511A/630, HP 744/165L MHz Option 630 without on board graphics, Rev C with PDC 4.4 firmware and two (2) HP A4449A 128 MB Memory Modules. This CCA (without on board graphics) is the preferred CCA; however, if unavailable, the following part number is acceptable: Hewlett Packard Processor Card, P/N A4511A/630, HP 744/165L MHz Option 630 with on board graphics, Rev C with PDC 4.4 firmware and two (2) HP A4449A 128 MB Memory Modules. Item 0002 - Four (4) Hewlett Packard Processor Cards, P/N A4511A/630, HP 744/165L MHz Option 630 without on board graphics, Rev C with PDC 4.4 firmware and one (1) HP A4449A 128 MB Memory Module. This CCA (without on board graphics) is the preferred CCA; however, if unavailable, the following part number is acceptable: Hewlett Packard Processor Card, P/N A4511A/630, HP 744/165L MHz Option 630 with on board graphics, Rev C with PDC 4.4 firmware and one (1) HP A4449A 128 MB Memory Module. Item 0003 - Twenty (20) Hewlett Packard Expansion Adapter Kits, P/N A4219A for 744 VME Computer. Prese rvation, Packaging, Packing and Marking shall be in accordance with Best Commercial Practices. Inspection and Acceptance shall be performed at destination by Louisville Detachment personnel. Delivery requirements follow: Item 0001: 6 each September 30, 2002, 6 each November 29, 2002, 6 each January 31, 2003 and 8 each March 31, 2003. Item 0002: 2 each September 30, 2002 and 2 each November 29, 2002. Item 0003: 3 each September 30, 2002, 3 each November 29, 2002, 7 each January 31, 2003 and 7 each March 31, 2003. (d) Comptroller General Examination of Record. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of this paragraph (d) if this contract was awarded using other than sealed bid, is in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold, and does not contain the clause at 52.215-2, Audit and Records -- Negotiation. (1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor's directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract. (2) The Contractor shall make available at its offices at all reasonable times the records, materials, and other evidence for examination, audit, or reproduction, until 3 years after final payment under this contract or for any shorter period specified in FAR Subpart 4.7, Contractor Records Retention, of the other clauses of this contract. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved. (3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law. Offeror MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. Award of a firm fixed price type order will be made on the determination that the offeror is responsive to the requirements of the solicitation, responsible within the guidelines established in FAR 9.104 and that the price is determined to be fair and reasonable by the Contracting Officer.
