Description
Contractor to provide sharpening, reconditioning, adjustment and repair services of surgical instruments for the VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis MN 55417 and the VAMC 601 Highway 6 West Iowa City, Iowa 52246. For the period of October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, with additional quote for two option years, October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004, and October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005. The VA intends to award a requirements contract for the geographic areas indicated in this solicitation. This solicitation may result in multiple awards if it is deemed in the government?s best interest to award separate contracts for each geographic location. Proposal(s) judged to be most advantageous to the government based on capability to meet the government requirements; past performance references, normal services proposal, and price, price being the primary evaluation factor, will receive the award. The government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received without discussions therefore each initial offer should contain the offeror?s best terms from a cost/price and technical standpoint. The government will award contingent on the best value and the offerors ability to meet all the governments requirements. Contractor's printed price list must be provided, as a price guide for items not listed. NOTE: Repair Service cost for instruments not listed must be called to the Contracting Officer or the COTR in SPD for approval prior to proceeding with work. Items not included as part of this contract are instruments that are repaired under warranty terms and Johnson & Johnson Codman instruments. The VA may make payment using a Government Purchase Card (VISA) under the terms and conditions of the Government?s IMPAC System. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
