- Description
- NA The Government intends to raise the dollar threshold and combine contract periods under contract DACA31-99-D-0007. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery-type multi-discipline contract advertised in the Commerce Business Daily June 8, 1998, for the Baltimo re District Army Corps of Engineers. The contract was awarded to Baker and Associates, Airport Office Park, 410 Rouser Road, Corapolis, MD 15108, for one base period of $1,000,000 and two option periods of $1,000,000 each. Under this contract, Baker and As sociates designed the Renovations of Building 39, Fort McNair, Military District of Washington. Due to insufficient funding, a construction contract could not be solicited at the time the design was completed. Since that time, the customers, the Fort Myer Military Community and the Military District of Washington, have requested changes to the design due to revised requirements. The value of this modification, approximately $200,000, will cause the total value of the orders to exceed the $3,000,000 limit of this contract. Since a rigid schedule for design must be maintained, issuance of a modification to the contract is in the best interest of the Government. Therefore, the Baltimore District is intending to issue a modification to the contract to increase t he contract values from $3,000,000 and combine the periods into one period for a total value of $3,500,000. The contractor completing this work will have to assume full liability for the complete the project within budget and schedule; and satisfy the des ign effort of this project, the Installation, and the User. Interested parties should submit requests not later than 9 August 2002. Contact is Susan Sonenthal, susan.j.sonenthal@nab02.usace.army.mil This is not a request for proposal.
