- The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about August 19, 2002. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code is 235410. The work of this section consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services to replace marble pavers at the east end of the north portico of Federal Hall National Memorial (Federal Hall). The specific tasks include, but are not limited to: removal of all marble pavers and cement patches to the east of the west handicap ramp, salvage of specific pavers and disposal of rest, preparation of sand setting bed, installation of new marble pavers and five (5) salvaged refinished original pavers in original configuration, and removal and reinstallation of three (3) pavers adjacent to columns. Location: Federal Hall is located at 26 Wall Street in New York City. New pavers shall be laid in the same pattern as those on the west end of the north portico, and as suggested by those original pavers and fragments of pavers remaining on the east end. New pavers shall abut the rectangular pavers and concrete of the east ramp to the north; the rectangular paver, rectangular paver fragment, and concrete patch to the east; the wall of the building to the south; and the concrete of the west handicap ramp to the west. B. The present pavers (with original edges) measure roughly 26 ?-inches square and roughly 2 ?-inches thick; some corners have been trimmed to fit the area. Joints measure roughly 1/8-inch wide. New pavers shall be the same size as the original pavers and laid with the same joint width. A tolerance of 1/4 inch will be allowed for the dimensions of the pavers and 1/16 inch for the dimensions of the joints. New pavers may be trimmed to match and fit as necessary and with the Contracting Officer's approval. Three (3) rectangular pavers between the columns shall be removed and reset in their same position and set level with the pavers adjacent to the col a level surface, defined by the surface of the pavers adjacent to the two columns, the edge of the east handicap ramp, the east rectangular pavers, and the edge of the west ramp. If these three surfaces are not level, then the level surface of the new pavers shall be defined on site and shall be one with no lipping or trip hazards, and may vary slightly overall. Variations in surface level shall be approved by the Contracting Officer. Joints between pavers shall be 1/8-inch wide; slight deviations will be tolerated in order to enable resetting in the original configuration with no modifications to paver size. An organized site visit will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2002. Attendees will meet on the steps outside the main entrance of Federal Hall at 26 Wall Street, New York, NY.
