- The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, is seeking a qualified contractor to perform the general construction of a new comfort station and related site improvements and utilities at Fort Point National Historic Site located within the Presidio of San Francisco, CA. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. Issuance of the Request for Proposal is anticipated on or about August 21, 2002 with proposals due 30 days after issuance. Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government after considering price and factors other than price. Title of Project: Construct Comfort Station, San Francisco, CA. Work includes, but is not limited to, (1) Construct new comfort station, (2) Site Improvements, (3) Install water system, (4) Install sewer system, and (5) Remove existing utility pole and relocate existing transformer. Period of Performance: One hundred eighty (180) calendar days. Type of Procurement: A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. Magnitude of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS code for this project is 233320 with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. The National Park Service welcomes the participation of small, minority owned, veteran owned and women owned enterprises. This procurement is 100% setaside for HUBZone business concerns.
