Description

The National Park Service is issuing an unrestricted solicitation for refuse removal services at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. The solicitation, including the specifications, will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizops.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 20, 2002. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued directly from the contracting office. TELEPHONE, EMAIL OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED OR HONORED BY THE GOVERNMENT. The work consists of furnishing all equipment, supplies, material, labor, transportation and supervision for performing all operations necessary for the collection, transportation and disposal of all refuse specified materials in specification. Materials identified as refuse include all garbage, incinerator ash, construction and landscaping debris, rubbish and other similar materials. The period of performance for this requirements type contract will be from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2007. This contract is to be performed at the Statue of Liberty/ Ellis Island National Monument at Ellis Island. Ellis Island is accessible by boats and by a temporary construction bridge linking Ellis Island to Liberty State Park, Jersey City, New Jersey. The bridge may be used by the Contractor to transport Park refuse to the state approved/legal disposal site. The NAICS code for this project is 562111 with a size standard of $10,500,000. This acquisition is being issued pursuant to the "Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-656)" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. Therefore, this solicitation is issued unrestricted.
