- Description
- The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a full and open competitive basis, the services necessary to the installation of non-secured and secured LAN and Telecommunications infrastructure in Bldgs 87 and 76 at SUBASE Groton, CT. However, if one or more acceptable small business offers are received, the government reserves the right to revise the acquisition strategy to a small business set-aside. Services include the purchase and install of all major equipment and materials to include but not limited to: Ethernet patch panels, fiber optic patch panels, switch cabinets, cabling, terminations in modiular furniture, power tele-post, pipe sleeves through floors and walls, conduit and raceways as required, mouting hardware for racks and switches, and all misc. materials to complete the project in accordance with the Statement of Work. Installation shall begin 01 Sep 02 or date of purchase order (whichever is later) and be completed no later than 30 November 02. The contractor shall make arrangements with SUBASE Communications POC, LCDR Steven Balmer, to schedule specific hours of work. This procurment is being conducted as a commercial items acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12,using 13.5 test program procedures. Placement of a Firm Fixed Price purchase order is anticipated. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will require the submission of price and technical offers and will include a review of past performance. The applicable NAICS is for this acquisition is 235510. The small business size standard is $12MIL. Release of the RFQ will be via the Internet. Interested parties may download the RFQ upon its issuance from the following website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. It is imperative that interested parties review the NECO website frequently for any updates and/or amendments.
