Description
*The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date from 8/05/02 to 8/15/02.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 812930 and the size standard is $6.0 million. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. The Bureau of Public Debt for GoTo.Gov has a requirement to obtain parking in Baltimore City in the state of Maryland. The parking spaces shall be located within the border of Baltimore Street on the North, Charles Street on the East, Pratt Street on the South and Eutaw Street on the West. The parking spaces shall be available 24 hours per day 7 days per week. The Bureau reserves the right to award for less than the maximum spaces for each of the option years. The minimum number of spaces required is 170, with the option to obtain 80 additional spaces as needed. The number of spaces may increase individually or in small groups. The provision at 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation--commercial Items applies. When combined, technical and past performance are approximately equal to price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition, see addendum. ADDENDUM TO 52.212-4, CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS?COMMERCIAL ITEMS This contract consists of a base period and (4) option periods as shown below: Base Period-October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, Option Period I-October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004, Option Period II-October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, Option Period III-October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, Option Period IV-October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days; provided, that the Government shall give the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option provision. ? The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 60 months.
