Description

Scope of work consist of but is not limited to, furnishing all labor material and equipment necessary to removal of the existing Fire Alarm System and Replacement with a new Solid State Microprocessor controlled Fire Alarm System. The new system must meet all NFPA, Life Safety and ADA requirements in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided. This work includes Asbestos Abatement in the areas affected by the new work. Work will be performed at the B. H. Whipple Federal Building, One Federal Drive, Ft. Snelling, Minnesota. Contract completion time is 360 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This procurement is opened to all business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 235310 with a size standard of 12 mil. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $1,900,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Specification will be available on or about August 26, 2002. The subject solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified Building (SBU) information. For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors. In addition, the following information must be submitted by the requester 1) A copy of the company's business license 2) The company's Dunn and Bradstreet number 3) The company's Tax Identification Number. For persons picking up the SBU documents, a valid picture state I.D. is required. The signed notice and all required documentation shall be submitted to the point of contact cited herein. NO TELEPHONIC OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED, however, facsimiles will be accepted. After receipt and verification of the preceding information, the requestor will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released on compact disc (CD) via U.S. Mail Service to the requestor.
