- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are be ing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Three (3) licenses and the processing fee for UX-Detect 4710 software are required to enhance existing in-house geophysical software capability and accessibility. UX-Detect is a specialized geoph ysical data processing platform for unexploded ordinance (UXO) geophysical survey data processing and interpretation. This software will allow the users in developing advanced acquisition and processing (DAQ/DAS) toolbox for emerging technologies. The only source for additional copies ofthe UX-Detect licenses is the developer of the software, Geosoft, Inc. Currently there is only one license of the UX-Detect software available to the researchers at the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC.) The re is a need to coordinate research efforts with other laboratories and to increase the support of UXO research and development programs. In consideration of compatibility requirements and capability enhancements to existing software, a sole-source purchas e of three (3) Geosoft UX-Detect licenses is considered critical to mission support for the ERDC. This is not a set-aside for small business nor Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The licenses are to be delivered to the ERDC, Vicksburg, Mississippi no later than 31 August 2002, the fob point is Destination.The provision at Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition as well as 52.212-2. A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 must be submitted with any of fer. FAR 52.212-4 applies to the acquisition. The acquisition of the software will be consistent with customary commercial practices. Numbered note 22 applies. Any responsible source able to provide the software is encouraged to respond to this announcemen t within five (5) working days after its publication.
