Description

The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Region 6, Olympic National Forest is issuing a request for quotations to complete work for storm damage repair on the 2180 road. This project consists of the following major items of work: Construction staking, removal of woody debris, removal of damaged and undersized culvert, installing a (Q100) culvert, excavation (including fill repair), installing riprap for the headwall & the outlet ditch, installing subgrade surfacing rock, installing asphalt, and application of seeding, mulch and fertilizer. This project is located at three sites. The sites are accessed from Quinault, WA by travel approximately eleven miles west on U.S. Route 101, turning right (north) onto FS road 2100 and continuing approximately 7.5 miles to the 2180 junction. By following FS Road 2180 north, the sites can be located at the approximate mile posts (MP 2.5, MP 4.4, & MP 5.9). All the sites are in the Pacific Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest. This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal No. R6-OLY-2-55-O and will be available through this website on or about August 23, 2002 with proposals to be received no later than the close of business (4:00 p.m. PST), September 10, 2002. Telephonic or written requests for this solicitation will not be honored. This solicitation is issued as a small business set-aside and far part 12, commercial items procedures will be utilized. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 234990 with a corresponding size standard of 27 million. Requirements of the Service Contract Act will apply to any resulting contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered.
